Bus Driver (Part-Time)

Part-time, (seasonal work, no summers) bus driver is needed for transportation of varsity athletic teams for trips across New England.  

 

Days, evenings and weekends are required.  Must have a valid CDL Driver's license with a Bus Passenger Certificate is mandatory and experience driving collegiate or high school teams. 

Past references, a good driving record and reliability are required.

Campus Ministry Assistant & Community Outreach Coordinator

Anna Maria College invites applications for the full-time position of Campus Ministry Assistant and Coordinator of Community Outreach.  Reporting to the Director of Campus Ministry, the Campus Ministry Assistant and Coordinator of Community Outreach will assist the Director of Campus Ministry in supervising all Campus Ministry activities.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:  coordinating service projects and alternative break trips, coordinating community volunteer service programs including the Worcester United Way Day of Caring, reaching out to local non-profit organizations, faith-based organizations and humanitarian organizations to increase the number of service opportunities for our students.  The Campus Ministry Assistant and Coordinator of Community Outreach will be responsible for programming activities conducive to student development including academic, social, and spiritual dimensions, (i.e. weekend/ day retreats and days of recollection, Conferences sponsored by the Office of Campus Ministry, Bible Studies, etc.) and serving as a resource for all students living on campus as well as commuters.  In addition, the Campus Ministry Assistant and Coordinator of Community Outreach will assist in the coordination of daily, weekly and special Masses, including the Mass of the Holy Spirit and Baccalaureate Mass.  The Campus Ministry Assistant and Coordinator of Community Outreach is expected to conduct him/herself in a manner consistent with the Anna Maria Mission and the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The successful candidate will possess a master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of two years of ministry experience, preferably in a collegiate or youth setting, required.  Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, willingness to work evenings and weekends and attend student events is required.

Counseling Clinician (Part-Time)


Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Success and Retention and of the Director of Health and Counseling Services, Anna Maria College seeks skilled counselors for the position of Counseling Clinician.  This is an academic year position (32 weeks) commencing in early September. There are multiple positions available varying from 8 hours/week to 16 hours/week, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will provide psychological counseling to AMC students through Health and Counseling Services.  The Health and Counseling services provides comprehensive short-term/time-limited counseling services that assist students with a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to, crisis management, emerging psychological diagnoses, long-term mental health diagnoses, family issues, developmental and transitional issues, relationship problems, alcohol and other drug concerns, academic success, and career and life planning. The focus of this position is to expand the provision of mental health services to students in order to reduce barriers to learning and create opportunities for greater academic achievement and student success.

 

The mission of Health and Counseling Services is to offer short-term/time-limited broad range of counseling and psychological services, in collaboration with related College areas, to the student community. In order to fulfill this mission, the clinician will provide direct clinical, educational, and preventative services designed to promote the psychological wellness of the campus community with primary emphasis on college students.  This includes the following objectives:

  •  Provide primarily short-term individual counseling to undergraduate and graduate students.
  •  Provide psychological consultation regarding concerning student behaviors, when needed, to staff, faculty, and administration.
  •  Provide crisis intervention and follow-up services to members of the campus community, as needed, often in collaboration with  other College areas.
  •  Provide outreach services and educational workshops to students, staff, faculty, and administration.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  •   Clinician shall provide clinical, outreach, and emergency consultative services. The specific schedule will be determined annually and reviewed    
     regularly, subject to change by mutual agreement.
  •  Any additional time during the week must be approved in advance by the Director of Health and Counseling Services.
  •  Individual mandated assessments for alcohol/drugs and anger management. 
  •  Emergency assessments of at-risk students, arrange hospitalization as needed.
  •  Participation in wellness programs; some evening programs may be necessary
  •  Work with local hospitals and providers to provide referrals and continuous level of care for students
  •  Participates with other professional staff in campus-wide programs (e.g. Open House, Orientation, meetings.)


    QUALIFICATIONS  
  •  Masters or doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology, family therapy, from an accredited university in counseling psychology, clinical  
     psychology, counselor education, clinical social work, or other closely related discipline.
  •  Current Massachusetts license as a LICSW, Licensed psychologist, or related field.
  •  Understanding of and the ability to work within the Catholic mission of the College.
  •  3 plus years experience in personal counseling required with experience in a college counseling setting.
  •  Ability to maintain contacts with community psychological/psychiatric personnel for purposes of appropriate and timely referral.
  •  Demonstrated commitment to using a multicultural framework in working with individuals from ethnically and racially diverse backgrounds and
     individuals from varying sexual orientations.
  •  Demonstrated skills in providing short-term/time-limited individual, crisis intervention, supervision, consultation and outreach interventions that  
     address developmental and mental health concerns typical of college student.
  •  Expertise in crisis intervention required.
  •  Available for student/campus emergencies when on campus.
  •  Performs other related duties as assigned.
  •  Excellent clinical skills.
  •  Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  •  Excellent interpersonal skills including mediating and negotiating skills.
  •  Ability and attributes that enable effective representation of mental health issues in the College community.

Head Men's Lacrosse Coach (Part-Time)

Part time Head Men’s Lacrosse Coaching Position.  Head Coach’s responsibilities include: recruiting quality student-athletes for the Anna Maria College NCAA  Division III men’s lacrosse team; conditioning; conducting all practices, coaching the meets, team fund raising, complying with all NCAA III, conference, and institutional rules and regulations, oversee recruiting for both men’s and women’s lacrosse programs.

 

Bachelor’s Degree, experience coaching/playing at the collegiate level is preferred.

Lead Counseling Coordinator (Part-Time)

The successful candidate will provide personal counseling to AMC students through the Health and Counseling Service. The Health and Counseling Service provides comprehensive short-term/time-limited counseling services that assist students with a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to, crisis management, mental health concerns, family matters, and relationship problems. The Health and Counseling Service works with other departments to promote developmental and transitional issues, academic success and career and life planning.The focus of this position is to ensure the provision of mental health services that reduce barriers to learning and create opportunities for greater academic achievement and student success. Documented counseling competencies are required.

 

Major duties and responsibilities of the Lead Counseling Coordinator include providing short-term/time-limited individual counseling for students, crisis assessment and intervention services, workshops, provision of appropriate on and off-campus referrals, consultation to faculty, staff, students and parents regarding student concerns.  In addition, the Lead Counseling Coordinator will assist in the creation of campus programming on issues concerning mental health and counseling services.

Additional responsibilities include assisting in the coordination of resources and activities including emergency/crisis services, counseling/therapy services, and outreach/consultation and campus-wide educational programs.

Resident Director

The Office of Residence Life is now accepting applications for the position of a Resident Director. This position begins August 1, 2013.  The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for working with college students.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Ability to show a lifestyle that is supportive of AMC & Residence Life philosophy and policy, provide direction students that promotes student success, act as a role model/mentor for students, work as part of the Residence Life team, assist the Director of Residence Life in the delivery of all Residence Life services, enforce policy, respond to emergencies. In addition, the RD will supervise the Resident Assistant committees; act as a liaison with administrators, faculty and staff; develop specialized programming in the halls; general housing responsibilities; and oversight of the Residence Hall Council. The Resident Director is expected to hold 15 office hours per week with additional responsibilities related to program attendance and on call duty rotation. Benefits include: On-campus suite, board during regular academic session (excluding vacations), basic utilities, cable TV, Internet access, local phone service, and one on site course offered by Anna Maria College each semester.   

Requirements:  An undergraduate degree and residence life staff experience are required.  This is a 10-month live in position.
